Guys, I have some text and polygons that I want to engrave onto acrylic, and if I use CamBam to produce engraving Gcode files for traditional mechanical engraving from a Qcad .DXF file it works fine. Between cuts, it lifts the cutter to the safe height, although the spindle doesn't stop

However when I use it to make files for laser engraving, the laser height doesn't change (using LaserGRBL) but nor does the laser go out between cuts, resulting in all the lines linking the areas I want to cut. I have tried using LaserGRBL to directly produce the files from .png / .svg files output from Qcad, but the quality of the engraving (apart from when it shouldn't be!) of the CamBam files is far superior.

Can you help me to understand what I should be doing? The engraver in question is running a Woodpecker controller board that with LaserGRBL is capable of turning on and off the laser correctly

Thanks

Les
