    Default Fume Extractor

Hello I have lulzbot TAZ 6 and I biygtna head to make laser engraving. The head is 20 W. Is not so big as the laser engraving machines posted in this forum but it can do things. Now I have the need to put the 3dprinter inside a room but for laser engraving as you one know there are fumes and I want a fume extractor for laser engraving, wood, plastic steel, and so on... Is there a flexible fume extractor. I made a research and all companies that sell that, are crazy, the price are so high more expensive that a machine including. Any suggestion or recommendation for a fume extractor?

    Thank you

This is what I bought. It works very well. I reduced the pipe from 6" to 4" before heading out of the building through a vent.

It means, you don’t have installed this in an attic, you just use a regular window with a 4” pipes? I have in a wheel utility cart the 3d printer and I move from one place to the other. That is why I mentioned portable.

One thing the pipe you put directly to the machine and then to the window? Or you put just in the room not necessarily close the engraver. I ask because if it is so strong can affect the process of the engraving if it is connected to the case if the engraver? I have a case for the taz 6 where I can make a hole. Or what is the correct placement for the extractor?

I have a different machine. It's a TS6040. It had a 4" hole for the extractor. I made it into a 6", and put the extractor directly into the back of my machine. it then goes through an interior wall, turns 90 deg upwards towards the ceiling. between the turn and the ceiling, it reduces to 4" again, turns another 90deg. towards the outside wall, and then out a vent through that wall. total piping, about 15', 2 - 90 deg turns. But, there is nothing to say you don't get some flexable 6" hose and use it wherever you move the machine too
