Unhappy Laser starts to fire as soon as the carriage moves

    Hi Everyone
I Have just purchased a 500 x 300 Chinese laser machine off of ebay ( 50w ), when it arrived it had a broken tube, dealt with the seller and got a new tube delivered.
after fitting tube I tried to use laser to set mirrors and found that as soon as I use the direction buttons to move the carriage the laser fires, I checked the manual and found a wiring schematic and noticed mine was wired differently
I changed the wiring to what was right in the manual, problem was still there, I then checked the settings in the software (on board ) still couldn't see any fault
I then decided to see if It still showed a fault in actual use, it did.
The laser starts to fires as soon as you push start while the laser head is travelling to the job. Once it finishes cutting it returns to home, but does not stop firing until the laser head gets to the home position.
I did also notice that the test button on the power pack doesnt seam to do anything at all?

    Controller is a TL-410c
    Power pack is a MYJG50W

    Any ideas?

    thanks

It's a controller issue. You might want to consider upgrading to the newer controller & any wires you switched around, since it didn't fix the problem, switch them back. I knew there 2 controller versions out there before I purchased, so I made sure I didn't get stuck with the old one for the same price. Beyond that, I can't only suggest that a direct connection to a PC may be necessary to fix the issue with the controller software.
