Bystronic cutting laser service......anyone had any issues?
We've had Bystronic cutting lasers at out shop for close to 20 years now. Bystar, Bysprint, Bypeed, PRO, etc......
On the service side, their phone techs have always been very knowledgeable and great to work with, and if we ever needed to have a tech come in and work on a machine, worst care scenario was usually 2 weeks...most of the time it was 1 week or less to get someone out (especially if the machine was down).
I've noticed that in the last 5 years, several of the senior techs have left, and new guys have been put in their place. The tech "support" has moved from help with troubleshooting, to now mostly "well, it sounds like you just need a tech" type responses. It's like they don't want to take the time to trouble shoot stuff anymore.....they just want you to get a tech in. And lead times for getting a tech out on a machine are now around 4-6 weeks......something has definitively changed at Bystronic.
Overall I feel the service and support from Bystronic has really gone down the pipes.
Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just our bad luck? For our next machine, we are seriously considering a Trumpf......if that gives you any idea as to how disappointed we have been with Bystronics service and support.

We have a bought a new 10KW Bysmart laser and trying to get answers to questions as been difficult also. Pressbrake service is terrible for they are down to just one tech in the area.
