engraving each letter individually

Im using corelDRAW with link motion but when i print to the laser engraver it engraves each letter individually. I can change the order it engraves by changing the order in the properties tab but i cant get it to engrave all the letters on the X axis on each pass. is there a setting in corelDRAW to change this?
