    Default Laser problem, please help!

    Hello everybody!
Im new to the laser world, I have just got my 40w laser engraver, but when I connect everything and plug my lap nothing happens!
When I remove the back, I see the laser go to a metal ring on the end of the tube instead of going thru.. any advice? thanks!

    Luis

Hi buddy! Im sorry if I cant explain myself better..

The thing is, that when I push the test button the laser appears inside the tube, but it does not came out of it.. the laser lands on a metal ring at the end of the tube.. I dont know what can I do to get the laser out of the tube.. is it the water sensor? or just a bad tube.. thanks!

    Lufegora,

It appears as if you used tap water instead of distilled water.

    Hi Jeff!
I did use tap water, the ****ty chinese manual doesnt say anything about using distilled water, Im new to this laser world, I own a 3d printer and a small router cnc, and do know something about computers, but this laser technology is new to me. Do you think the distilled water will solve the problem or was just an observation? Thanks!

Flush the system complete out and use only distilled water, the impurities in the tap water are conducting which is causing the arcing!

You do realise that you cannot see the beam when it leaves the tube dont you (its invisible)
put a piece of paper between the end on the tube and the first mirror and pres the test button, if the beam is presnt it will burn through the paper
if it does then the chances are its just a mirror alignment problem
