The first place to start is getting your federal firearms license
Hey y'all, new here.
I am interested in starting to do laser engraving, primarily for firearms.
Forgive me if this is one of those "every other day" questions, I'm on my phone and didn't see a sticky or have any success with searching.
What I'd like to do is start as cheap as possible, out of my garage. As time progresses and I am able to reinvest, have an actual workshop setup, etc. etc. I have an addiction to gadgets and tools, so quality equipment (aka overkill ) is definitely on the horizon, but just not budgeted for yet.
So where do I start? 30w fiber? Dedicated PC, software, accessories, ventilation, etc?
Thanks a lot. Again, sorry if this is constantly asked and addressed. Perhaps there's already a thread y'all can point me to?

FFL is a given, thank you though. That would be disastrous without it. I'm a gun fanatic, so everything in that aspect is by the book and overdone. Gun nuts typically never jeopardize their ability to exercise their rights.
What I am looking for is assistance with the ewuipment. I know very little. I am a self starter, quick learner, and research junkie, just need a push in the right direction and also hoping to get the advice of those with experience.
