Default Copper Sulfate in Laser cooling

Are the biocides used in Computer Water-cooling safe to use on the laser tubes? It's meant to prevent algae or scale from growing in the water or tubing.

The ingredients in it is just 95% DI Water and 5% Copper sulfate. It is put into the water at 1 drop per Liter of water, so its not very strong.

As long as there is only plastic or stainless fittings. Di water and brass or other metals can get pretty ugly.
