    Default Bystronics

    Good Morning Guys and Gals,

Stumbled across this forum and hope someone can help us out,

In short, our company has a Bystronics Bystar 3015 and Byspeed 4020

In general, we do nothing but a yearly PM service done by bystronics. Can someone provide some literature on daily/weekly/monthly etc that we should be doing ourselves to keep this equipment running smoothly? The operators seem to have lost the manuals indicating this.

On top of that, personal experience? What have you found is good housekeeping in terms of records, monthly tests? (vacuum test, etc)

Anything at all!!!! looking for some advice here,

    Thanks In advance!

      Yo!

Yes, there is a weekly service what you have to do on the machine also there are many small tricks what you can do without engineer assistance.

      - send out both beds
      - knock down the melted steel from underneath in to the tray
      - clean rail ways both side to prevent any smash or stuck in
      - clean bellows to keep it hole free as possible
      - empty trays
(if you have a conveyor don't forget you have a small tray in front as well, and you have to check the lubrication on both side of the conveyor)
      - go to the chiller and clean all of the filters
      - if you have a loader clean that rail as well

do this weekly and your machine will run smooth. There are some next level maintenance as well when you can adjust and set the approximately switches around the bed. The physical hits sometimes move them out, and 1x in every 2nd months I advise to clean the bypos filter and the regulator before it, but this is strongly depend on your chiller water quality.

I hope this helps. If you have cutting issues a lot can be done in to the parameters as well, but I need to know what kind of control you have there, and how old is the machine. Few pictures about the cut how is the cut look like etc.
