you need to exchange it as soon as possible as this is back up power for memory when machine is powered off

    Hi,

Well, all the information except the date and the clock is on the harddisk.
So you won't loose parameters nor programs.
Anyway, I too advice you to change the battery. It is Renata CR2450N.
Make sure you will get the right battery. (not just normal 2450)

Make sure you have the machine powered up when you change the batteries. I bought a used machine and by the time I got a big enough phase converter(5-6 mos) it lost all machine parameters and programs and previous owner didn't make a back up copy of parameters. Someone should make battery tender like for motorcycles to keep plugged into 110 to keep batterys charged. Mine with heidenhain uses 3 AA batteries.
    Good luck, JD

I am on a Hermle 800u with a Heidenhain iTNC530 controller....it had a fat fingered tool calibration program that someone deleted. Is there anyone that can give me some help with a program that calls up tools 6" from the trunion? We are using a vacuum plate and a 3" gage block for setting tool length offsets.

    Thanks in advance
