    Default Rusting issues

Hi Guys. I have just started using a wire eroder that has water mixed with an ion exchange resin as its tank filler. The problem is that I am cutting D20 toolsteel and I am having rust issues. Is there a product that anyone knows of that will cure that issue?

    Hello.

If I recall it correctly we used to buy some water soluble product from Charmilles. In any case it´s worth consulting with any EDM manufacturer. As they regularly also sell those products I believe they´ll be happy to help you.

    Regards.

PS: for some high precision parts we used some silver/copper (I believe) alloy that reduced the rusting and gave better finishing to our cuts.
