Can you turn a cheap chinese laser engraver into a plasma table somehow?

Yes, you can. Just like you can somehow turn a car into a bicycle.
But not in a cost effective way that makes any feasible sense.

I would dismantle the torch assembly and make it as light as possible and use the most flexible torch leads you can find. and then because people will tell you not too. i'm going to say you should.

also if your laser has a Z this would help, plasma is horrible and messy and angry so the the parts wouldn't last long unless you cover everything in battle shields. and get a waterbed in there. you could likely even modify your post pro to do things like probing if you installed one.
