Default Tool setter wiring help UB1

    Hi Guys,

I'm in the process of swapping my DSP control system over to UCCNC with a UC300ETH UB1 Board. My end goal is full ATC and therefore I purchased an Chinese ATC spindle with ceramic bearings. I believe the ceramic bearings is the reason why I no longer have continuity down to the tool from ground and as result of this the old DSP tool setter is now useless. I wasn't keen on crock clips etc so bought a switched tool setter from China. Image Attached. My issue is I have no idea how to wire this into my UC300eth UB1 setup.

Can anyone help with an idiots guide for me on the wiring and ports etc.

    Thanks
    Paul

There are two switches in parallel. One is for the offset, the other is for over travel. I don’t remember which colors are which though. You should be able to decipher the instructions with that in mind.

Switches are not in parallel. There are two independent switches.
Use a multimeter to find wire pairs that belong to each switch. Press a tool setter to activate both switches and find which wires are shorted.
Next step is to apply a pressure just to activate the first switch (for tool height setting) and determine the pair that is shorted. Second pair would be connected to E-stop circuit.

    Thanks Guys,

Excuse my basic understanding here, but I'm I right in thinking once I have established the two pairs of wires that activate each switch. The tool height switch wires will be connected to 0v and other to the correct input pin on the UB1 board right?

For the over travel switch it's connected in series to the e stop circuit?

Hope I'm getting my head round this right..

    Thanks
    Paul

X103-X115 and X210-X15 are as you say.

    X310-X315 are different.
