Power the VFD all the time, and use a relay on the VFD's estop input?

I think I have created myself a weeeeeee problem.
One feature of the electronics I have put together is a relay on the mains input side of the VFD I have. For the relay to be on (and thus the VFD powered up), the following conditions need to be met:
- The limit switches aren't activated
- eStop isn't active
- Mach3 is sending an 'enable' signal over the parallel port.
Now, I'm using the 'french' plugin for the VFD from here

The issue I'm having is that on starting Mach3, since the relay is 'off' (there is no 'enable' signal from Mach3), the VFD isn't detected and the plugin won't run.
Is there anything I can do? Currently I'm thinking my only option is to bypass the relay so the VFD Is always powered up. I have several eStops anyway which send a 'stop' command down the RS485 link, however I was trying to put in a solution which is independent of the software.

The VFD Drive won't last long if you have it wired like this, the mains power should be on at power up, and stay on until you power off your machine, you use the VFD logic low voltage to control ON / Off and safety connections or in your case your Modbus connection which you may need to modify

Thanks both - yes looking at the manual there are some terminals which can be configured as en eStop. I'll leave the mains on at all times as suggested. I'll look into whether I can use the terminals at the same time as the Communication Port control.
Right you all were, connecting the COM and RST terminals on the drive initiates an eStop, which causes the spindle to coast to a stop rather than ramp down under power - altogether much better! I'll use the relay for this purpose instead rather than controlling the AC. So - when the 'enable' signal is high and the relay is 'on', I'll use the relay contacts to break the eStop circuit on the VFD. It occurred to me it would be also possible to control digital, so just turn an NPN transistor 'off' when 'enabled', on when disabled/estop.
