    Default Galil d300 interface board

Can anyone identify this? I would like to find a replacement - but my searches are coming up empty. It looks like a 4 axis breakout board and is connected to the dmc-1840 pci card...

I have been working with Galil products for over 20 years and this is the first time I have heard of a D300 breakout, nor can I find any information on it. It may have been a special device built specifically for an OEM. You might check with Galil, they may be able to provide one, but they may direct you to the OEM. Galil Motion Control

This is what I use for a breakouts, the listing is about 1/2 retail price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/PHOENIX-CON...IAAOSwihxc9Y8M

But the above breakout may require a relay interface to use the 5V outputs. The ICM-1900-OPTO might be a direct replacement. In either case you would need a 100 pin cable.

This might be worth a look. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Galil-DMC-1...EAAOSwUuNctn40

I don't think the above has the -OPTO option, but not sure. But you get the cable and a DMC-1840 as a bonus, pretty good deal.

    Well poop!

I had found the second ebay one - and it might work in a pinch. Will have to do some research.

Thanks much - I will call Galil...

I have never seen that version either.
I do have some old surplus Galil break out boards, one does not have a number, it has the I/O and encoder feedback inputs with LED indicators.Has IDC sockets and several 8 and 16 terminal breakouts.
    The other is a ICM-1100/AMP-1140.
I also designed and made up our own version as we used to originally use the now Legacy DMC-1000 boards extensively.

I contacted galil US and they said that they thought it was a model from their Denmark division..

The Denmark location says that they don't have any and it is obsolete..

    Back to square one.

What is wrong with the original, maybe fixable, if there is a problem.
Usually there is not a lot to them.

I have not been in it yet. You may be right. I was told when one of the tech was here a few years ago - he pulled it out and soldered a bunch of joints.. It has been running so we haven't had a chance to pull it out.

It is very flakey - stuff stops working - wiggle/replug connectors and it starts working again.
