I can't imagine that someone hasn't asked this before but can't find it so:
I am retrofitting (for the first time) a Multicam 1000 4'x8' 3axis machine. it has 4 6amp motors. I am going to control them with the Gecko G214 which say they can handle up to 80volts. Do I just buy 4 chinese power supplies off of eBay or is there a better way to go about it.
Thanks

I'm with Jim on this one, I much prefer linear supplies to SMPS, they are far more rugged and forgiving.

The neat thing about Toroidal supplies is if you need say a small aux supply such as 5v or 12v etc you can add a small over-wind to the transformer quite easily.
About 21/2 turns/volt.
