Since we're wishing :
A drive that takes encoder feedback that will fault when you miss steps.
I put off setting up my g540 so many times because I couldn't face the boring task of making custom cables.
But many hobby CNC players find that a very satisfying part of building their own system.
please, label every screw terminal with a letter or number,
As far as I know, every CNC electronic component I have ever seen IS labelled quite clearly.
As for setting up a wiring index - that's what Excel is for.
plans to release your own breakout boards
Ah, the BoB market is full of players. Why compete there? I would prefer Gecko stayed really focused on what they do best.
My 2c, that's all.

An AC servo drive that can compete with DMM in price. Use easy to find connectors to make it easy for users to make their own cables. Of course, you'll need to partner with a motor manufacturer to be able to offer a matched set.
AC servos are the future in the mid to upper end of the hobby market. Clearpaths are becoming very popular, but true AC servos are far superior, if the price is right.

Thanks - that is great to hear. There isn't much ripple unless the system is being charged from the solar controller at that time. It isn't pwm but still has some voltage ripple due to how it operates. Perhaps I will add a voltage limiter to avoid any chance of going over 56 vdc.
Why don't you put down some of the things YOU want instead.
I have.

Perhaps the point was too subtle. They ask what potential customers would like to see in a new product. People want what they want. It's not for you to comment on what other people want. It's for the good people at Gecko to decide what requests they want to use and which they don't. If they followed your logic, they wouldn't have even started a company...
It is obvious that people like me, who want a simpler and easier to assemble product with clearer instructions are the majority - as evidenced by the endless threads on sites like this where people ask the same questions over and over again. All those threads asking for help wiring all the different CNC components is because there is a problem with the current state. It's anything but clear.
Some of the smart vendors have started to recognize this. Stores like AT and CNC router parts have started selling motors prewired for the G540. Either they are smart, or they just got sick of all the questions and confusion about what to do with those resistors.

Can't follow your logic here.
Sure, there are lots of people complaining they cannot follow the instructions in the Mach3 manual and the vendor docs. But there are always going to be people who cannot follow instructions. That does not mean they are the majority. They are just the ones crying for help because they are out of their depth. The ones who read the instructions and follow them, and get their systems working, are silent. Why should they bleat?
Yes, I am sure there are opportunities for integration vendors to offer packages - at a cost. They should go for it.

Geomon you have been able to get turnkey Gecko G540 for years, CoAMarcus if you can do a servo driver cheaper and better go for it theres heaps of good bobs out there jump in with someone
