Steps per revolution = 4 times CPR
In your case 4 times 250 = 1,000
Counts per inch = TPI times Steps per revolution
In your case 16 times 1,000 = 16,000 steps per inch
Each step is 1 / 16,000" or 0.0000625"

Ok, I finally figured out that my encoders are 250CPR
Now, I'm running a 16TPI Screw Direct...
I'm using TurboCNC, I'm trying to figure out how that 250CPR translates into inch units per step so that I can run these motors soon.
My first experience with encoders so.... This is the big question.
So an explanation on how to do the math would be appreciated.
Thanks
