Re-register as previous user

I might be answering my own question but if my email address has changed and I'm using a different computer or else I haven't logged on in a while do I have to re-register. I did today but I can't seem to log on as who I used to be. Doesn't matter to me but it would be nice because I have posted some pretty good stuff.
