Need Foam Cut Software Suggestion
I am looking for software to use with my HOBBYCNC board that is friendly toward LETTERS & NUMBERS. I will not be making wings. Just signs.
So far I do not see any that really address Alphanumerics well.
Does anyone know an answer to this??

Hi. I have had the same question that you have and here is what I use today:
Corel Draw, for making my graphics, letters and toolpath.
Deskcnc, to convert HPGL files to DXF and making G-code.
Mach3 for controlling my 2 axis machine.

Not sure, but you might check out the Foamworks 4.0 -- it outputs G-code instead of being a stepper driver, and I believe it is not strictly wing oriented.

Hello
I am interesed in using my 4 axis foam cutter to make letters and numbers. I am curently using A CAD program to make numbers and letters, Desk CNC to make the G code and mach3 to run the machine. The numbers and letters all come out with flat spots on the curves.
Can anyone tell me about using correl draw in this process. How do you make a tool path using Corel draw. I use Desk CNC for this. Do you mean that you draw the out line of the letters using corel draw and make actual tool path in Desk CNC.
