    Default excelcut still available?

    Cheers arman, hi everybody!

just came across the excelcut project - very interesting.
I tried to locate it on the www to have a closer look but
it seems like the links don't work (netmyne...).
Is there any other chance to get a closer look to the
    package?

    Thanks and best regards

    Dolphi

Is there an alternative download site for this software. The original site seems to be down.

Or does someone have a copy of the latest (4.2 version ?) they could send me? The software is free for personal use.

    Thanks!

Sorry, no rony. I also wrote to arman who wrote the software but never received a reply back. Surely someone must have a copy!

Thanks, I actually posted that one in your reference myself -- it is an early version which I had subsequently found cached on the I"nternet Wayback Machine".

I wonder if we can get a newer version from someone.

I also wonder if anyone has the skills to get it running on the (free) Open Office Calc rather than Microsoft Excel. That would open it up to everyone.

I've got problems getting good G-code from Profili Pro 2.30a.
It just has too many bugs, and some simple things just can't be done.
I'm writing a new Excel sheet which exports G-code.

Pro-per, good for you! I've had similar problems with Foamworks and a few others in both G-code and .DAT output files from DXF

I was also hoping that Excelcut might furnish a means of customizing the translation by understanding the Excel source code.

I run Linux however, and while I have a couple old computers with Win 98 and XP on them, my newest Excel version is 2000. Excelcut was developed on Excel 2003.

I really wish this program could be adapted to Open Office Calc -- which would open it up to most operating systems, including both Win and Linux, instead of being tied to specific versions of Excel, etc.

    Anyway, good luck!

I know this is a bit off, has anyone attempted
    this?

I tried to look at the code which is Visual Basic.
Unfortunately, the code is password protected
so first I need the password to compare with
    calc scripting paradigms.

The only way to port it is to first have access
to the code, which would then need to be ported
    to calc.

So, if you can get me the password, I'll be happy
to see what porting it will entail.

Porting the ExcelCut to Open Office would be real nice! Aa great combo - 2 freebie programs!

Is there a way to test/check a file without having the controllers attached to the pc? I'd like to do that to make sure all is well before taking the file out to the "shop." Maybe some trick to fool the software into not looking for the controller?

Default EXcelCam access to Visual Basic code?

This is a repeat of a prior post, but does anyone have access to the password for the VB in ExcelCAM? The program seems to do most of what I need but I would like to look at the VB to see what's going on and add features at some time.

Default Self made wing cutting software

    Hi all,
I have tried to make my own wing cutting software. Believe me it's a great masochism
It works good, but is not too user friendly. Work on DOS and source is on pascal.
But if somebody want to see source code or use it for cutting, let me know.

There's a new great 4 axis foam cutting program called Schnapps. Does everything, and is free:

There are the same functions but this 'SchnApps40' has very nice interface. I've been too lazy to do that 10y ago.

Default Blue Foam is written in java

I got an error page on the schnapps code links
and the project did not come up when I searched
    the projects at code.google.com.

However, when doing a search for wire foam
the blue foam project came up.

    Here is the link.

    Thumbs down

Upon further review, I find that there are no downloads for
    the bluefoam project.

    Sorry about that.

Thanks for the posting the code.

I'm looking at this stuff from a purely CNC perspective and thinking about porting LinuxCNC to Windows. So I'm studying up.
