    Default Z axis calibration

I have a Saturn 2 with nema 23 motors and am running Mach 3.
I am just setting up the machine and very new to CNC.
After I set soft limits in what I thought X and Y only, the Z axis is now moving at 50% at stated position. For instance the Z axis only moves 4" when Mach 3 reports it has moved 8".
I have not adjusted any motor tuning, or scaling.
I have attached a photo of the Z axis steps per unit in Mach 3. This is not changed from the XML file Nate sent me.
I emailed Mach 3 and they are suggesting I do an axis calibration. I am slow to believe it is out of calibration by 50%. It seems more likely a setting is wrong and is probably something very ignorant on my part. Any help you guys can offer would be great.
    Thanks,
    Lance

    Lance.

It's hard to read your screen print of the Z axis settings, but I believe your steps per is half of what it should be. I believe the correct steps per is 10160. You may want to search the forum to confirm, but that's my recollection.
