Default Need Help--Saturn I rack spacers

    Hi Guys.

I have a Saturn I 4x4 machine and am installing the black rack spacers
that Nate kindly sent me. Nate sent me 6 spacer bars and a bag of longer
    machine screws to install them.

Do you install two spacer bars per side or four spacer bars per side to extend
    the toothed rack outward?

The reason I ask is the fact that I have six spacers. If it is two per side then
I have two left over. If it is four per side, then I am two short.

To me, it seems I should have either 4 or 8 spacers not six. Can you clarify this, please?

Also when installing the spacers, they do not butt end-to-end but have a gap
of about two inches between them. I assume this is correct?

    Thank you!

2 per 54 in rack. 3 racks makes 6 spacers. Don’t forget the rack on the X-Axis.

The spacers will have a small gap between them. Drop them in from the top. The easiest way is to put the bolts in that hold the rack and leave a gap, then drop the spacer in from the top.

    Thank you, Nate!

I appreciate the quick response and the clarification.
You are correct, I had forgotten about the rack on the X-Axis.

Now I can back to work on my machine! Thank you again.

    All the best.

Not that you need this, David, but I did a video on installing the spacers -

    Thank you, David.
    That's an excellent video.

I got the two Y-Axis spacers installed yesterday
and will do the X-Axis today.

Please keep posting videos! They are very
helpful to me as I am just starting out.

    All the best to you.
