I am working on a Mecof agile CS 500 with Fidia controller.
As we process relative deep pieces, it is very time consuming always having to retract the virtual axis (w-axis) 0.3m/min with each tool breakage in order to change the indexable inserts.

    My question now:
Is it possible to approach a tool change point in the program with HOLD or at least change the 0.3m/min with a higher value??

    Many thanks in advance
    Regards

    Hi
Why don’t you press Pause and then roll out with the hand wheel...then you give the speed.

im "HOLD" kann ich aber keine Achse anwählen.
zumindest bei der Fidia C10 funtioniert das nicht.

    Hello
As Kassi already said you have to press the PAUSE BUTTON- that’s the one next to the Hold button. Then the memory goes empty and after 20-50 blocks the NC will stop. So now you can run with your W axis until China, also in rapid traverse!

Try it out, it will works!!

No, that would be at the expense of the Look Ahead Parameter.

Okay, I don’t know what that is but alright...
However when the insert breaks then of course I have to exchange it immediately not after 300 blocks.

Hope you can give me some advice!
