How to use behind the tape reader in fanuc 6M?

Hello,
thanks for the prompt reply, Dan.
As I was so happy you answered, I went right back to the shop and checked.
I can confirm the cable connection as you described it. The old ribbon cable is disconnected from the mainboard. Instad the rainbow coloured one is connected to the BTR. Then there's a second one that goes via the HONDA plug on the outside and back to the CSQ-connector in side the cabinet.

The parameters are currenty set like this:
Parameter 24: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
Parameter 25: 1 1 1 0 1 1 1 1
Parameter 26: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Unfortunately I couldn't download the PC-DNC editor by now.

I can neither send nor receive anything. Can I check whether the BTR is broken somehow?
Do you prefer me writing you emails instead, by the way?

By the way: do I have to change any bit on the setting page to activate this function?

We also sell a btr board that will allow you to send and receive programs via your rs232 port on your pc. Simple to fit and set up, all you need then is a comms program, preferably with rts/cts hardware handshaking, but not essential. Pcb is £250.

Do you still sell the btr? It’s cheaper than what I’ve seen anywhere else.
