    Default Fanuc 16-im Alarm

Hi, I have a Kitamura with a Fanuc 16-im controler. I got an alarm #2026 tool magazin servo battery low. I replaced the battery and can not get the alarm to clear. The servo amplifier has a u 11 blinking. Can not find this alarm in any of the many fanuc books. If anyone have any ideas, please email me at timmyjv@netzero.com. Thanks

I'm assuming this is a Beta drive??

Found a gem of a web page here....GE Fanuc manuals in PDF.

Here's the beta drive manual http://application.gefanuc.com/infol...ls/65245en.pdf

U alarm on drive = power needs to be turned off and back on.

11 alarm = motor needs to move 1 full revolution.

It may be important to change the tool carousel drive (vigoservo) battery while the machine is still on so the machine does not lose its position. I keep spare batteries on hand for this purpose. They are 3.6V lithium batteries.

If your battery died, it is possible that the vigoservo drive no longer knows the carousel's actual position. The drive normally displays the current carousel position on its display. See if the number on the drive matches your actual tool carousel position. If it doesn't you probably have Alarm 2025 now, not 2026.

If the machine has lost its position, there is a procedure to go through to teach the vigoservo drive what the current actual magazine position is. Contact Kitamura's tech support - they have a "tech tip" document that steps you through the process.
