    Ok !!!!

I have Taiwan brand machine with Fanuc OMC controller, also at the same condition i.e. "There is no G127 address in PMC ladder, so No tape mode sellector switch and No M code for DNC Tape ON/OFF "
and i also know that MTB was not set any bit/address for DNC.

    What you people suggest me?
    1. Is there any body or company can change my ladder so that DNC will active?

    2. If DNC can not be established on this cntroller then Is there any company which can upgrade its memory? so that more than 5 Megabytes program can store it.while its current memory is 40 Kilobytes only.

    3. If these two things does not works if upgradation cost of memory is high then will I have to change my controller?!!!!!!!!!!AT Last!!!!!!!!!!!

    Please help me.

In my opinion, these Fanuc operator manuals are very difficult to learn from. Someday when I feel I need some more frustration in my life, I plan on rewriting them in Machinist English. That will be right after I learn to painlessly pull out my fingernails.

Honestly. There is no common sense flow to these manuals.

Do you have a copy of the ladder ? Sometimes it may use another button depends on how the ladder was programmed . First you must read the ladder to determine if it is written in the ladder. Sometime I have seen it using a Diagnostic switch.

    Hi,

I am new to this world, and I am trying to do drip feeding to our cincinnati sabre 750 with Fanuc controller OM-C. I have no tape switch, but I found in the ladder the G127,5! it needs the contacts G242.0 and D394.2.
The G242.0 is the Auto button, but the D394.2 I cannot discover.. any help?

    Thanks

Just find diagnostic address 394 and set bit#2 for DNC to work. Do not change the others bits on this address, they may be used for something else.
    DGN394=xxxx x1xx to set on,
DGN394=xxxx x0xx to switch off DNC and work from memory.

Of course, it is easy - set MDI mode or push "Emergency stop", [DGNOS], [No.] [3][9][4] [input], [1][0][0] [input] or [0] [input] (if there is no other bits used on this adrs.
Some manufacturers does not put a button, but use keep relays for DNC sw. on, it is not only cincinnati

If you can edit the ladder ... you can do it.

G127.5 is a register bit used by the PMC to send to the CNC side to enable the DNC.
This usually has to be addressed in the ladder (PMC) side.
    0B cannot display the ladder.
    What does Para 901 show?

Hello all. I know this is an older thread but it applies to me. I have a 0M-A. I lost all the parameters a while back and have barely got the machine running. The machine has a PMC installed, but I have to set parameter 24 bit 0 = 0 to ignore PMC because I do not have backups of the PMC parameters. My software operators panel has a DNC mode switch programmed into it, but when in turn DNC mode on, diag 127.5 does not switch.

How do I make the DNC mode switch on the software operators panel turn on diag 127.5? I really need to drip feed

    Regards.

What is the make and model of your machine ? Did you have DNC before ? If not it might now de written in the ladder. I have the means of writing it in the ladder.

The machine is a bridgeport style mill retrofit with ballscrews and fanuc servos and control 0M-A. The previious owner said it drip feed no problem. When I got it no parameters due to battery failure. I entered parameters manually into nc, ignoring PMC. Therefeore it isn't reading the pmc ladder at all. the machine does not display the ladder and i dont have eprom equipment and software.
