Colchester Storm A90 Jog mode stops spindle.

I have a Colchester Storm A90 with the Fanuc 21i-t control. It also has the simple control panel as shown in the picture.

Here is the sequence of events....

CUSTOM GRAPH --> MDI
MDI: G97S500M3;
CUSTOM GRAPH --> MANUAL
JOG


Spindle stops. Not particularly useful, to me at least. Is there a parameter or option that can be enabled to make the spindle stay on so I can face a piece of stock using the jog mode? Or turn a simple diameter without having to use the hand wheel?

As far as ia know you can input the spindle speed in MDI but in jog mode you need to start and stop the spindle by push buttons
It is normal to stop the spindle when switch the modes .it is just waiting to push the spindle foward or reverse and increase or decrease the spindle speed by override

zavateandu, you are correct in the normal operation. However, since I have the stripped down control panel I don't have spindle start/stop button(s). I was curious if there was an alternate way to do the same thing. If not, then I'll continue as I have, but I would love to figure something out.

When you select jog on any Colchester the spindle stops.
It's written in the ladder so there is no way using parameters
