Does your operators panel have a "ABS" or "Manual ABS" switch? It sounds like the manual absolute function is somehow triggering.
So I've had 2 problems with the 15M machine and I think they both are related
#1st being if you are at say G54 X0.0 Y0.0 and you go to jog or mpg and move say Y +6" .
sometimes the readout will change to Y0.0 where ever its out instead of showing X0.0 Y6.0
#2 issue that may be related is, sometimes when starting machine
home x/ y /z > origin > memory > cycle start
%
O001
G90
G54
G00 X0.0 Y0.0
It wont move .. And obsolete will read out all 0000s like it never applied the G54
Then if you home machine again The absolute will blink to the correct numbers
Run the program again and it will move to the correct G54 home location
any ideas ?

There is neither of those on this control

G90 = ABSolute Mode is where all moves are relative to the Part Program (WORK) Zero Position
G91 = INCremental Mode is where all moves are relative to the last move and reset to Zero after each move.
These Modes can be changed in MDI and by Parameter can be set so that at power-on or RESET; or End of Program;
will initialize certain G-Codes as Defaults.

Also if you look at the DGN bits you can see if the slides are In-Position. If not In-Position the Control will not
process any more block of information.
thanks that kinda of makes sense but I don't think that's not the problem , even with a G90 > G54> G00 X0.0 Y0.0 it will wont always apply the offset or move to there .... but sometimes it will
Not sure what you mean byAlso if you look at the DGN bits you can see if the slides are In-Position
