Need help! 003 fanuc too many digits

Good morning all, I'm on a Vtl with Fanuc18i-TB. I've been trying to manually touch tools off on the X diameter of an id to no avail. It will allow me too cross centerline and touch off negative numbers but not positive for I'd which in turn really limits my tooling capabilities. The machine came from England a few years back and I don't know if they changed parameters. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Jeff

A little more information please.
What step are you doing when the alarm is generated?
-Running an auto program.
Line where the alarm is generated.
Is the alarm generated in single block.
-Manually entering data
Screen and field when entering the data.
