Default Fanuc 0/31 mill - interpolation turning

    Hi all,

I have maybe a bit of a specific question regarding a milling operation available for other controls which I don't know how's enabled on Fanuc.
Siemens and Heidenhein call it Iterpolation turning and it looks like in the video below. Does anyone has an idea how to get control over and feed the angular position of the spindle?

Although I doubt Fanuc has developed a cycle for this type of operation I believe I can develop a macro myself if there is a way to feed the angular position of this axis.

Thank you to everyone sharing their opinion

hy gunda that is similar to okuma turn cut function, cam turning, and other less common cases, like non round motion, or <>360*, thus there are special toolpaths that are generated by pairing a rotary and a linear axis; rota can be lathe spindle, lathe m axis, lathe b axis, or mill spindle

macro won't work, because phasing and in-position won't be synced ( i guess you could try, maybe it works )

requires spec or aftermarket alternative ( for example, google dandrea utronic )

maybe there is a way to mount your part on a lathe ? kindly

Thanks deadlykitten, I think I know what you are speaking about, but I am searching for a solution with phasing
See below how this is made possible with Sinumerik control

in the end is all about if your machine can do it

    i would :
    g00 x0 y0
    spindle phase 0
g01 x123 y15? f g94 spindle phase 350; use such a feed, that this block executes in 10 seconds, etc, thus not something fast; visually, check if spindle is phasing in sync, continous among entire travel

    if yes, then macro it
if no, then perhaps you need an extra M code or something; i am sorry, that's all i can say / kindly

The thing I am missing is how to program the spindle phase on Fanuc. From the video for Siemens it is obviously SPOS,
