Default Fanuc Om Need Help Setting Part Position

I have an old machine centre with a Fanuc om control.
I move the machine to the position where I want x0 y0 z0 to be.
I copy the machine coordinates to work offset 01.
When I go to auto and press cycle start the machine goes to some other random place.
Also if I move the machine from x0 y0 z0 and press reset it resets my absolute coordinates back to zero.
Is there a parameter that I need to change or am I going the wrong way about setting it up?

...MDI > G54X0Y0 to activate Work Offset 1
G28X0Y0Z0 for machine zero most likely

Tried that and its active. Ive used alot of machines and ive never had one do this before. I know some machines when you set your work offsets dont change the abs until you hit reset but this one zeros the abs when you press it.

It's easy, I have the fanuc OM-D, you just need to zero the machine first. And all is done.

It's not about the key, the servo motor fanuc om has incremental zero return, everytime you power on the machine you jave to zero or homing at first.

Look at the limit switch, if your limit switch have 3 pin spring it must be incremental
