Default Fanuc 21m mm to in not accurate

    Miyano mill

Changed over to inches par 1001 and 0000 but the resolution on the DRO showes twice what I’m actually moving. If this was the cross feed on my lathe I’d be perfect!

    What did I miss?

Change 1001 back to it's original settings. ONLY change parameter 0000. When you change parameter 1001 you tell the controller that you have either a metric or inch ball screw. A ton of parameters are based on this setting. Parameter 0000 sets the part program to run in metric or inch. Better yet, use G20 and G21 in the program to switch between inch and metric

Well it did change the relative position but not the machine or absolute but is traveling in inches correctly.
