The machine I work on is a Goodway made lathe with Fanuc 0i TD cotrol. When I program a value (say diameter 50mm) and run the program I get 50 on the actual position display. However, this value also adds the tool wear and when the tool has a wear (say 0.1) I get 50.1 on the actual position display.
Is there a way to pull out the tool wear value from the actual position value through a parameter? I tried a few but wasn't lucky to find the right one.
i never heard of a parameter for that,i think you doing something wrong.
the real value can be read in ABSOLUTE position,where should be 50.00mm if you call the tool T0101.
Actual position=machine position and is never been taken in sight because nobody is interested in it.
can you post some picture with the program ,tool geometry and tool wear?
did you set up the X0 on the workshift page?
Well, I am not the very greatest Fanuc expert but I think my approach should be good. I will attach a picture of the control tomorrow.
I was lead to think such parameter exist as I have faced the same setting on Mazatrol Matrix II and it was just a matter of a bit value change.
