Fanuc pmc L oel and oe2 ladder chips

I have been working on a makino leblonde rmc55 with fanuc om controls. It has a pmc type L woth the oel and oe2 chips. After lots of research i gathered everything i needed and can now edit ladder in fladder dos program. I made my changed and long story short burnt my 2 new chips. I kept the originals and bought 2 new chips that were the exact same. 27c256. I installed them and fired the machine up. Everything loads great no errors. Buttt when i go into the ladder on the machine. Nothing has changed. Its just like the original chips. Does this think keep it in memory or something? Or did i do something wrong. Thanks guys.

Did you by chance make your Edits and then didn't compile it and so when you burn your new set you actually just burned the original compiled ladder?
