Alarm 2 on A06B 6079 H201 servo drive

Hi, I have got a machine with an alarm number 2 on the A06B 6079 H201 servo drive which does not appear if I turn the machine on without connectors JX1A and JX1B connected. If I connect either one it will start up with the alarm 2. Both servos and encoders are connected so I am assuming there is not an issue with them. My main question is does anybody know if this is a servo drive fault or could it be something else? I have attached a couple of photos to show the issue.

The problem you have is within the servo amp and is quite common on the 6079 series.

Hi Tristarcnc. Thanks for the reply. I have checked the capacitors and replaced the 621 opto, c4151 transistor but had no affect. There is a 15v regulator which I haven’t checked yet. As it’s the 5v supply that’s the issue (I think) would you mind pointing me in the right direction.

Hi. It’s a Fanuc Robocut Alpha 0-C with a 16-WC control. It’s new to me and was purchased knowing it had this fault.

Hello, how did you repair that? I have similar failures in my drive. It says low voltage in the manual, but its the only servodrive where I have that problem so its not a voltage input problem.
