Need Help ! Fanuc 3T - Rigid Tapping

Need your help with the following, please...machine is an old Taiyo Seiki 1N, from 1985, 2 axis cnc lathe, running under Fanuc 3T-C.
Is there any option to achieve -rigid tapping- ,as original sheet of M and G codes doesn't mention it ?
Original Operator's Manual missed....just have a generic Fanuc 3T manual.
Any hint will be higly appreciated

Pretty sure that control is too old to have that feature.

Rigid tapping didn't become available until later controls.

You can still tap with it, you just need a floating tap holder with tension, compression, and probably adjustable torque.

    Hi regina,

Disadvantage of a tapholder is its lenght.
For taps up to M10 you can also use special floating ER collets with axial extension stroke.
They have only an extension stroke but no compression stroke so the infeed is 95%-98% of the pitch ( feed ), reverse feed (out) is 100%.
For the FAHRION CET-GB-ER32 collet the shankdiameter range is from 4.5mm up to 12.5mm
When you buy the 12.5mm collet you can make different reducer bushings for different taps.
Prices for the ER32 collet approx. $120,-

When you don't have the canned cycles just use a program like this, its only for tapping, pitch 1.25
