Default 21t lathe servo batteries died - now travel isn't "real", but control thinks it is

    Hi,

I left the machine off for a week in the cold, when i re-powered it, battery dead on both axis

did the zero reference return (manually set it to somewhat close to what it was before, within a few thou)

but now my X travel, the machine says its going 200mm but in real life, it isn't. Its not exactly half (then I'd think I was in diameter vs radius mode), but its more like machine says 200mm but travels 95mm

This is not "shift" as it is consistent, always the same, not loose belt drive or whatever (its absolute encoders from the drives anyways), but I feel like its a 'mm in real life / rev' or 'encouder counts per rev' or 'encoder edges per rev' type of setting... I dont know my ballscrew pitch but I guess I'll have to manually check ??

has anyone seen this before ? any ideas ? If needed I can measure the exact error (i.e. 100mm real life == x on the control)

    Z axis is fine...
