Problem- Tailstock quill

Tailstock quill
Pretty straight forward, tailstock quill won't respond to the m79 command to retract while in auto. Just times out.
Sensors are in the right spots, and responds fine when in mdi, or if i hit reset while its hanging on the m79 command, but won't retract while a program is running.

I bet it is a safety thing. m79 disabled in auto mode. The MTB might have a keeprelay associated with that

Re: Tailstock quill
I would look up the Y addresss output in the ladder and see why it won't turn on in Auto but OK in MDI mode.

Re: Tailstock quill
May be your axis needs to be in one area for retract quill in auto mode. Some MTB use that.
Send your ladder file and i'll will have à look

Re: Tailstock quill
Got it working now.
I'm not entirely sure why, but will only work in auto if a G40 is on the line directly above it.
Had a tech look at it, checked relays, checked ladder and checked parameters, all working how they should.
Must be a quirk of this machine.
