The machine came with DOS software as standard so if you are running anything above Windows XP I'd forget that
Have pm'd you about the software
Hi all.
my boss purchased an older Harrison alpha 330 lathe against my better judgment of the total headache it was going to be and is.
he has since dropped the dame project to get the machine up and running and integrated into the production of parts for the shop.
so i was hoping to get some bones thrown to/at me from this knowledge base.
it has the hobbled fanuc controller that only reads proprietary cam posts that need to be made on the alphalink software. and guess what... the disc for that software did not come with the machine.
so now my boss doesn't want to fork over the cabbage to get the newer version of the software and has sent me here to ask on my knees if anyone here has an older version of the alphalink software the could be so kind to send my way....?
the manual that came with the machine is 3.2..

Hi inti1er and mbservice, i am in the same position. I have baught a used Alpha 330 Plus. It did come with a computer with the alpha link software loaded on it, but no disk. My trouble is that the software has crashed a couple of times and the computer itself has also frozen a couple of times. I have an old, but good, laptop running XP which i would like to load the Alpha Links software onto so at least i have a backup and somthing to practice on at home.
I would realy appreciate any help you could give me.

I am thinking of buying an Harrison Alpha 400 Plus.
There are 2 floppy disks with it, ALpha link 3.0 version and also update 3.1 version.
these software looks really old and not easy to use...
Which modern software do you propose for using with that lathe?
