    Check parameter 3204 bit 2. I am not sure if this control is similar to the power-mate controls but a "1" in that parameter bit will give you C-Edit with more soft keys for the symbols that are not on the hard keys. Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the reply.

    For oi MATE TD (We found out by trial & error)
    Its actually parameter 3204 last bit named PAR. Turn it to "0" for square bracket, put "1" for round bracket.

    Glad it worked out. When you say it was 3204 and the last bit are you talking about bit 7 on the far left?

    Fanuc parameters are numbered 76543210, so, as Factory Guy said, bit 7 is on the far left.

    PAR (bit 0 = 1) changes "[" and "]" to "(" and ")". As long as you don't need "[" and "]" for macros, you should be OK. But as Factory Guy also suggested, EKX (bit 2) turns on the [C-EXT] soft-key on giving you access to both "[","]" and "(", ")" as well as the "@" symbol.
