More Than 21 Tools In Fadal Carousel

Currently I have 30+ tools I use for production jobs in one of our Fadals. The carousel only holds 21, so my work around for this is to have multiples as far as tool numbers go, then I use a height offset that is H22 and up for the second set of tools.

ex: T2H2 T2H22 T3H3 T3H23

Is there another method to using more than 21 tools with this style tool change and the Fadal control?

Machine is a 4020 with the CNC88 control.

Can you use a tool number that is larger than 21 ?
Or is the tool # always equal to pot # ?

IMO .. it is bad practice to use a length offset number that is different to tool number, it is an accident waiting to happen. There are circumstances where this may change...

One way would be to have like tools set to the same length.

Do you have the machine pause, change the tool manually, and then continue? Or do you swap out tools?
