Question Retrofitting a spindle chiller onto a Fadal VMC15

    Hey all!
I'd like to retrofit a spindle chiller onto my VMC15, but I need to get clarification on which ports on the spindle are used for plumbing this in... Hopefully someone will be able to answer this! I've attached a couple of photos with my best guess for the coolant in port, I know the port on the spindle flange is for the air curtain because that's already connected and working fine!

Also: does anyone know if all Fadal spindles were setup the same way internally in terms of plumbing? Given this machine did not come with a chiller will all the required seals and so on be present inside the spindle nose?

Thanks for any and all help!

I believe the drawing I posted above has the ports labelled correctly. I have not fully hooked it up yet but I did plumb it in while re-assembling the machine.

Your porting is correct. And i am 99% sure they would have the seals in there. You could put a little air to it and see if it holds. But during assembly they would just throw the o-rings in and be done with it.

Thanks Rodney! Good idea to check with air beforehand!
