    Default SetP + M60 Brake

As most know, I've been setting up a VH-5C and I followed the manual and used SetP to set the M60 Brake to ON.

From reading the manual, I understood that when this is set, the Brake will automatically apply after an A axis move, and turn of before a move.
    Is this correct?

If so, how do I test it? I can do a M60 in MDI and the brake applies, then a M61 turns it off. Great.
But, if I do a G0 A180.0 the Rotab turns to 180 degrees but I never hear the brake engage.
Is there something else that tells it to turn on, or should I ignore Auto mode and insert a M60 and M61 in my G-Code everywhere?

    Thanks,
    Richard

Evidently "Auto Brake" is not what I thought it was. I found an older thread where Rodney states that the brake applies after some period of inactivity, something like 75 seconds. I'm not really sure what good that does, but it answers my question on the setting the brake in G-Code.

The simple answer is to use the M60/M61 in the G-Code.

    M61 'Turn off brake
    G0 A180. 'Rotate to position
    M60 'Turn on brake
