Clear plastic wipers under the way covers on a 3016. What material are they made of?
No amount of Googling has yielded any reference to the wipers underneath my 3016's way covers. They appear to be a second line of defense against chips that make their way past the way covers then land on the y-axis ways. If I had to guess, I'd say they are the same soft, thick clear plastic you would use as a convertible car's rear window or for tent trailer windows.
Does anyone know exactly which material (plastic) one can cut a set of these from?

They are just called clear marine vinyl (uv/chem/sea water resist). My guess is there is no need to see through them so I'd replace this with a similar flex rubber instead.
(why they placed clear vinyl under way covers?!)
