I've picked up a much older Fadal, (I think a VMC 40) that I can't find a Mfg date on but the CNC 88 control head has only a feed override and e-stop switch on it.
It does have a pendant.
The machine runs fine but I can't find how to toggle the optional stop to the off position. On the display it say "Opt stop on"
I press the AUTO but once, then MU enter
Choose option 2 and enter - the display now shows "Opt stop off"
I press Manual to exit and the display changes back to "Opt stop on"
I know I can remove the M01's but I'd rather have the optional stop ability if needed.
As far as I know, there is no way to interface your optional stop to a switch. This feature is built into the Fadal control and not accessible to break out so we can manipulate the signal.
I'm not looking to add a physical switch. I'm trying how to toggle the setting via the menus. Like I said, I went through the MU menu and there is a choice to toggle off there but when that screen is exited, the setting toggles back on.
I'm either on the wrong menu or there is a parameter setting or something like that which keeps it set at ON by default.
