    Default Trafimet Torch

I have a matcut 50 plasma cutter with a Trafimet A81 torch on my CNC table.Even with new electrode and nozzle I cannot get it to cut at 90 degrees to the plate being cut.
Would a machine torch be better?
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Default Re: Trafimet Torch

I've used a Trafimet S75 machine torch on a 50 amp Everlast and have been lucky enough to receive some guidance from R-tech in the UK who use a rebadged Everlast on their range of tables. If you were to buy a new torched based on what they've said, you would be better off with a tec.mo PM70 machine torch which they now use on all of their tables.

    They said:
the reason you are getting poor cutting with these machines is the torch the ptm60 it is now a old design blow back torch
you need a better torch look at the pm70 by tecmo (http://www.tecmo.it/upld/repository/File/03.PH.pdf) this will fit and use the same consumables as a powermax 45
we use these now on all our machines
I've since sold my Everlast and intend buying a Hypertherm 45XP.

I think a machine torch would be much easier to keep square but whether that results in a square cut remains to be seen.
