    Default Swiss type programming advice

    Hi guys,

I am trying to setup a Swiss type machine having a tool station attached to the sub-spindle and in this case there are 2 possibilities for the tools at this station:
1 - to position the tool station with the sub spindle (Z2 axis) and feed using the same Z2 axis
2 - to position the tool station with the sub spindle and feed using the main spindle (Z1 axis)

Is there a way to simulate the 2nd case and how do we do the machine or operation setup in order to do so, any ideas?
The illustration of the first case is like in the attached files

    Thanks in advance

Are you talking about the tool mount beside the sub?
