Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer


Job Summary
We are seeking a Virtual Gibbscam Programmer . The successful candidate will be in charge of our production-related operations. The Programmer Manufacturing Engineer will join the management team of the company reporting to the President. The main focus will be to ensure that parts are shipped according to customer specifications, on time. You will be expected to work with supervisors, programmers, engineers and managers to create new more efficient processes, expand production capabilities and solve production process problems.


Responsibilities Outline
· Programmer complex and prototype parts using Virtual Gibbscam software for 3 4 & 5 axis CNC milling centers.
· Assist other programmers and machinist in set up and first run parts.
· Work with engineering and management to solve programming issues
• Set and achieve annual performance goals as agreed with the President through the successful execution of the following responsibilities:
• Ensure continuation of an exceptional level of quality and the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in cooperation with the Quality Manager.
• Organize, motivate, manage, and develop employees.
• Ensure consistent on-time delivery, pushing for the shortest time possible.
• Analyze manufacturing processes for continued improvement – developing and implementing best practices and ensuring they are well documented.
• Strive to constantly expand manufacturing capability in coordination with the production and the engineering team.
• Strive to constantly improve operational efficiency as measured by output and delivery dates.
• Ensure prompt resolution and rapid recovery of problem jobs.
• Continue implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential Skills and Requirements


• 5 to 7 years experience programming experience with Gibbs Cam
• Hands on leadership with in a CNC machining environment.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a technical manufacturing field.
• Experience in CNC vertical mill metals manufacturing.
• Aerospace AS9100 experience
• Statistical control expertise
• Mechanical and technical ability
• Methodical and detail-oriented
• Organized
• Effective communicator (written and oral)
• Ability to multi-task
• Production-minded
• Strong work ethic
