    You should contact Eding directly.

I agree with ger21 contact Eding first for repair

I would check the power supply is working correctly
and disconnect as much as possible to to test the cpu5a or 6 axis board on its own
to prove its the Eding board thats faulty and nothing connected to it

    looking at the cpu5a_flyer_tech pdf
    cpu5a_flyer_tech.pdf

it looks like Eding have used a PIC Chip from https://www.microchip.com/

I expect with the USB connection directly going to the PIC
the lightning strike will of damaged the PIC chip and Eding will be the only ones able to program a replacement
manufactures are usually very protective about the firmware and don't release it to any one

for reliability it may be better to replace the boards
even if the faulty parts can be replaced others can fail within a few months to a year

    John

    PS
it could be worth asking if they will sell replacement boards at a discount in exchange for the old board
( I know from my day job that broadcast equipment manufactures do )

    Hi,

    Eding CNC here

Yes we do have replacement boards. We also offer a discount. You don't have to pay for the software again, since you have already paid for the licence. You only need to send it back, else everybody will claim that their board is damaged ...

    Regards,

    Alfred
